Ok, I'm actually going to start actually blogging. Mostly because I'm bored. Whatever. First off I'll recap the New American Music Union fest. Then some Steelers, then some Dark Knight stuff maybe. I don't know. I think I'll start to actually try now.

We'll see about Hossa. Maybe his agent convinced him to test the market, even though he's 98% sure he wants to stay here.

Or maybe the Ollie-less Panthers will pay him 9 million a year to skate around in 90 degree weather.

About that Malkin guy...

During Penguin season, expect this page to be mostly about Penguins. It's the offseason, but it's still sort-of exciting. Anyway, Malkin is not going to the LA Kings, not going back to Russia, and he's not going to retire and sell ice cream.

This rumor started with Pierre McGuire desperately searching for talking points on his radio show (the Pensblog covered it well here, as they always do) and was echoed on several blogs and a few newspapers. Apparently it doesn't matter that the Trib reported that Malkin was planning on staying.


Point is, nobody should worry or panic. The media needs something to talk about during the Pittsburgh sports off-season (Nady's shoulder doesn't count). Until Hines Ward start whining, or the Pirates do something, expect stupid stories to be picked up from time to time.
